             Portuguese DJ and electronic music producer Miguel Palhares, 
             returns to Piston Recordings with the superb 'Dance To Me EP' 
             which follows his well-received debut slice, 'Keep On Dancing'. 
             Miguel's brand of music makes use of various styles ranging from 
             deep, funky and jackin' house with a little bit of old school 
             flavour. He's been influenced by electronic music from a young 
             age and started to DJ at 19 years old. He's performed at top 
             clubs throughout Portugal and he has a reputation for providing 
             quality and versatility in his tune selection, always bring fun 
             and energy to the party. Since 2013, he's enjoyed several 
             releases on top labels and it's always a pleasure having him 
             here at Piston.

             'Dance To Me' opens the release, offering up a solid floor mover 
             with serious jackin' qualities. Punchy beats and crispy hats are 
             joined by groovy basses and infectious chords. A catchy club 
             vocal weaves through the groove as piano riffs take over after 
             the break, leaving us firmly rooted to the dancefloor. 'Dark 
             Place' is up next and intros with rhythmic percussions which are 
             soon joined by a nice and chunky beat. A deep, funky bass and 
             accompanying Rhodes style piano lead us to the break where 
             brighter pianos come through alongside cool vocals. Distant, 
             spatial pads add depth to the groove which will definitely light 
             up the floors. 'Funky In The Air' rounds out the release, 
             opening with a rhythmic percussion sequence which gets the toes 
             tapping. A deep, subby bassline joins in as funky, effected 
             notes weave intricate patterns. The keys draw the attention, 
             creating a full-on funky groover that does not disappoint.
