While working on plans to celebrate the label's 20th birthday, Dirt
Crew Recordings decided to reach out to Ben Le Dash, a producer whose
last appearance on the imprint was almost a decade ago. In fact, his
last release of any sort (prior to this one, of course) was back in
2015, so to say it's a surprise comeback is an understatement. The
Rotterdam-based producer starts brightly with 'Heel Goed', a spacey-
sounding slab of breakbeat-driven intergalactic deep house, before
opting for a more immersive and tactile approach on 'Lift Adrift' and
'Fine Rise'. Jazz-fired house breaks and elongated pads catch the ear
on the eyes-closer wonder of 'Asanti', while 'Expanding Signal' is a
slowly unfurling voyage into blissful ambient house territory.
