Demi Riquisimo has come up with a novel way of celebrating the fifth
birthday of his Semi Delicious label: releasing an EP containing
previously unreleased tracks he first laid to tape in 2019, the year
of the imprint's birth. There's naturally plenty to set the pulse
racing throughout, from the sharp disco strings, throbbing analogue
electronics, wavy female vocal samples and snappy drums of 'Tagine
Machine', and the acid house-meets-deep house headiness of
'Certified', to the celebratory disco-house-with-8-bit-electronics of
'Blow UFO' and the surging electro-disco-goes-exotic excellence of
'Shameless Progression'. To round things off, the London-based
producer drops the analogue-rich, '80s video games-influenced shuffle
of 'Point One'.
