Toronto producer Kevin Dennis Pierre, AKA Demuir, has been a staple in
the house scene since the early 2000s. His impressive discography
boasts releases on labels like Robsoul Recordings, Elrow Music, and
more recently D'Eaupe and Sola. Here, Demuir brings his signature
club-focused deep house to France's Frappe Recordings.The EP takes
listeners on a journey through driving peak-time anthems ("The Music
In Space"), jazz-infused tracks rich with samples ("Enter The House of
My Lord"), and a dose of Chicago house revival reminiscent of the
early 2000s Classic Music Company style ("First Look In San Diego").
Rounding out the release is a remix of "The Music In Space" by
Demuir's longtime collaborator, DJ Sneak. Sneak's interpretation adds
a deliciously dark and weighty feel to the original, complete with
pulsating basslines and sultry saxophone stabs.
