RELEASE NOTES ..:: ] ............................ Presenting their final release of the year, Nikko.Z's Dopamine White welcomes Diego Acosta (UY) to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Uruguay, Diego Acosta has made remarkable strides since first emerging in 2021. In finding a healthy balance between progressive and organic house, the Montevideo resident has compiled an impressive resume in just eighteen short months. Nicholas Van Orton's BCSA, Antrim's Strangers Beats and Jelly For The Babies' RYNTH have been landing spots for his far-reaching sound, while global tastemakers such as Guy J, Mariano Mellino and Armen Miran have championed his sound along the way. Now, adding Dopamine White to his resume, Diego debuts on the label with a two-track showcase entitled 'Sixteen'. Getting the release underway and sitting as one of Diego's biggest productions to date is 'Sixteen'. Warm beats and a full, rolling groove set the foundation for a narrative of percolating arps, tension filled overlays and driving percussion. Pushing a melodic mood into the break Diego marries emotive plucks with heartfelt chord changes, gradually opening up and building emotion with each successive pass, before eventually giving way to a thumping drop and warm, key changing finale. The companion piece 'Suduca' continues the progressive lean of the release and lands with an equally impressive display of craftsmanship. Smooth and uplifting throughout, it's a collage of pulsating beats and retro-arps which captivate leading into the break. Charming synth phrases and balmy atmospheres further the story as the centrepiece unfolds, bringing with them hopeful moods and transcendent vibes, before a short build and tasteful drop puts your senses on high for an emotive conclusion. Energetic and poignant in equal measure, it rounds out what is an inspired EP from Diego Acosta, an emerging artist who makes an impressive Dopamine White debut. Words by www.releasepromo.com [ ::..
