     To launch their new label, the team behind Kickin' Up Dust decided to     
         ask American-German producer George Davis to rifle through his        
       archives and select some unreleased heat. Given that his last solo      
     release was way back in 2007, you'd assume he had plenty of tracks to     
      choose from. What he's offered up is undeniably alluring. For proof,     
       check opener 'Marimba Disco', an infectious blend of live-sounding      
     disco-house grooves, mazy marimba solos, addictive Clavinet riffs and     
      sultry synth-strings. The mighty Kai Alce provides the accompanying      
       remix, reaching for warm and woozy chords while giving the track a      
       lovely organic deep house flex, before Davis returns with the deep      
     Afro-house/broken beat/jazz-funk fusion of 'Ebunya' and the Osunlade-     
      style deep, jazzy, soulful, Latin-tinged house of 'Budoshida'. Class     
                             and quality for days!
