             Kicking off 2023 we welcome Buenos Aires based DJ, producer Gus 
             Jerez with his Piston Recordings debut titled 'The Journey'. 
             Since 2020, Gus has churned out an impressive release count on 
             several labels, gaining multiple Beatport features along the way 
             and putting his name out there, becoming known for top quality 
             productions. Great to have him on board at Piston, we hope to be 
             hearing more from him soon.

             'The Journey' opens the release with a sublimely deep and 
             mesmerizing groove. Beefy beats and rhythmic percussions lay the 
             foundation for an infectious bassline and modulated chords to 
             work their magic on the senses. The break reveals a softer side 
             with ethereal pads and delicate voices before the main groove 
             returns for the duration. 'Find Me Today' concludes the release, 
             delivering a concise late-night groove. Excellent percussions 
             and punchy beats lead the way as a hypnotic bassline powers the 
             vibe. Classic chords weave intricate patterns before a classy 
             vocal is joined by sweeping, cosmic pads on the break. A must 
             have, no doubt.
