             SLC-6 Music welcomes J Lauda back to the label for a new release 
             entitled 'Chimera'. Based in Buffalo, New York, Jim Jarvis aka J 
             Lauda has made impressive strides since first emerging four 
             years ago. Yotto's Odd One Out, Mango Alley and Manual Music 
             have been landing spots for his progressive minded sound. As a 
             core artist with SLC-6 Music, the Buffalo resident has recorded 
             two originals and two remixes since making his label debut, 
             commencing with a contribution to the 'SIX: Stage-4' collection 
             in 2019. Now, returning to what would have to be considered one 
             of his primary homes, J Lauda presents a two track showcase 
             entitled 'Chimera', alongside remixes from Headkube and Jorge 
             Viana. Title track 'Chimera' finds a nice balance between 
             progressive grooves and astral sonics, flowing through manicured 
             arps and tasteful melodic clusters, while a tension-filled break 
             sets the mood for a finale of devilish effects. Companion piece 
             'Rings' follows suit with a greater melodic sensibility, as J 
             Lauda works creamy melodies and fuzzed out effects over a 
             romping swing heavy groove. Returning to the label for the lone 
             interpretation of 'Chimera' is Italian artist Headkube. The 
             Turin resident ups tempo and drive for a momentous slice of 
             astral techno, complete with an acid-laced break to command the 
             full attention of your dance floor. The release concludes with 
             Jorge Viana making his label debut with his interpretation of 
             'Rings'. The Argentinean artist stays true to the main themes 
             from the original, utilizing the main arps over a roomier groove 
             and spacious percussive arrangements for a smooth uplifting 
             mid-set affair.
