        While he's still in demand by high-profile European labels - Get       
     Physical and Exploited included - James Curd continues to release some    
     of his most potent music on the Pronto imprint he set up a year or two    
     back. His latest single fits into the latter category. It's basically     
       hip-house reinvented, with mic man Mr Flip spittin' rhymes over a       
          rubbery, acid-flecked groove, minor key melodies and madcap          
     electronics. It is a genuinely excellent excursion all told, with the     
     accompanying remixes only strengthening the package. Saison's version     
     is a deep house-goes-hip-house revision with added warped bass, while     
      Oliver Henry's take is darker, murkier and pleasingly mind-mangling.     
     To round things off, Mexican twosome Hotmood opt for a more low-slung,    
                             warehouse-ready flex.
