             What does distance mean? When you are far away from home and can 
             only recreate your familiar environment behind closed eyes by 
             remembering how it was, who you love, and what you miss, then 
             distance is something very connecting. This distance is what 
             Julian Schraven sought when the Cologne-based producer and 
             electronic live musician left his homeland to explore the 
             southern part of Europe for several months, to find out if and 
             why he wants to return. Packed with him were a bunch of ideas of 
             what something like a new sound could be.

             Julian Schraven has been on stage for over 20 years and until 
             last year was one of the two heads behind the gzel project. In 
             the summer of 2022, his debut novel In den Kronen was published, 
             in which he tackled the theme of rave, and since his return to 
             Cologne, all signs have pointed to a new beginning. Heads & 
             Teeth is Julian Schraven's first EP as a solo musician.

             It includes the title track Heads & Teeth, a sexy breakbeat 
             sprinkled with various samples from Julian's wide-ranging record 
             collection, the driving track Tautological Lights, and the 
             dancefloor ballad Leyendeckerstrae, which represents a very 
             personal declaration of love to his home in Cologne Ehrenfeld.
