             Moving into 2022's second quarter, Nikko.Z's Dopamine White 
             welcomes KAZKO to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from the 
             progressive music hotbed of Sri Lanka, Kaveen Suraweera aka 
             KAZKO first emerged in 2020 with a string of tech-house oriented 
             releases, before finding his way into progressive house with 
             releases via 3rd Avenue and Another Life Music in 2021. 2022 has 
             seen the Colombo resident continue to rise, adding projects for 
             Antrim's Strangers Beats, Droid9, SLC-6 Music and Transensations 
             Records to his resume. Continuing his prolific ways, KAZKO now 
             makes his much-anticipated Dopamine White debut with 'Retro 
             Love'.

             Getting the release underway and sitting as one of KAZKO's most 
             powerful productions to date is the title selection 'Retro 
             Love'. Smooth and rhythmic in all the right ways, its charged 
             beats, undulating groove and electric pulses set the foundation 
             for waves of wispy effects and emerging chord stabs. Arpeggiated 
             fragments bring further colour leading into the main break, 
             where a tight rhythmic theme rises towards a devilish drop, and 
             a finale that is equal parts percussive and atmospheric.

             The companion piece 'Nice Dream' follows a similar sonic ethos 
             and sits as an ideal complement to its predecessor. Its upbeat 
             groove is perfectly contoured, adorned with buzzing effects and 
             a maze of driving percussion. Haunting overlays advance the 
             narrative, adding depth and emotion across the first act, before 
             eventually giving way to an expansive break. Clocking in at 
             nearly two minutes in length, the centrepiece melts down to a 
             bed of bubbly arps, ghostly refrains and sizzling effects, 
             perfectly setting the stage for a groovy drop and epic 
             conclusion. It rounds out a stunning two track offering from 
             KAZKO, who makes an excellent debut on Nikko.Z's Dopamine White 
             with 'Retro Love'.
