       Brooklyn's uber-hip Razor-N-Tape bring us the debut offering from       
       Magic Words, a new project consisting of NYC natives Eli Cohen and      
        Peter Hargarten. "Basically embodies Balearica" is how the label       
         describe 'Wabi Soba', but they're arguably doing themselves a         
      disservice there because, with its skillful blending of elements of      
      deep house, Balearica and jazz-funk/jazz-fusion, the excellent 'Wabi     
     Soba' isn't a cut that can be quite so easily pigeonholed as all that!    
     The laidback Original is my pick but you also get a Dub and a housier     
      Jex Opolis Remix to play with, while 'Kissy Kiss' rounds out the EP      
                    with dubbed-out echoes of 80s Euro pop.
