Our next outing into the organic, melodic and progressive worlds 
of house music (and the bits in between) is curtesy of Good 
friend of the Label, Matt Black.

Matt has been heavily involved in the electronic music industry 
and scene for more than 2 decades now, and it was a real 
pleasure to sign this from him. As soon as I saw the demo, I 
realistically knew I wanted him onboard. I knew it would be 
good..

Matt has had numerous realises through his time producing on so 
many great labels including Bonzai progressive, DNH Digital, 
Perfecto Black to name a few.

Here Matt has used a piece of music he produced at a personal 
time in his life..
Here is a few words from Matt about this release:

'About 20 years ago my mum died of cancer, it was one of the 
most difficult times of my life. For her funeral she asked me to 
provide a piece of music to be played as the mourners entered 
the church so I wrote a track called Requiem. I always wanted to 
create something from those elements but at the time I didn't 
feel it was right.

Recently I dug that track out again and I felt that it would 
suit the current breakbeat/ broken beats sound so I created 
'Requiem for Deidrie' which was inspired by that tune. This 
track is dedicated to my mum and I hope it's a fitting tribute 
to her memory'

Matt has also provided a traditional 4/4 mix in the guise of 
'Into the Night mix' which has all the elements of the original 
but with the traditional 4/4 beat and percussion, One for the 
traditional floors amongst you..
On remix duties, the obvious choice was label artists, Last 2 
Standing.. Their interpretation has retained the feel and vibe 
but with their harder hypnotic electronic edge which just packs 
a massive punch.. All three mixes have subtle differences 
allowing them to be enjoyed by varying dancefloors and yet they 
are all hard hitters in their own right..

MB are really proud to be able to unleash Matts music to the 
musical world and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do, an 
inspirational piece for many reasons..
