Nichols delivered his Kinetics EP early last year on Lowbit and 
it was received with much acclaim. We felt the themes deserved a 
re-work and the chance to be heard on the now open dance floors 
worldwide. 

Avar Garden steps up first with his interpretation of Forbidden 
Star. He has been making a name for himself with his unique, 
experimental and melodic style and delivers the goods here. 
Twinkling melodies, driving bass patterns and expertly balanced 
one-shots and risers set a compelling tone which is awash with 
drama, but still subtle, highlighting the skills of this master 
crafstman. The parts weave together seamlessly as layers and 
layers of synths are added and the ethereal story unfolds. 

Lowbit bossman Sonic Union takes on Kinetic next. He sets the 
scene with organic drums and stabbing bass notes, which wrap 
themselves around the mystery of the emerging melody. The track 
meanders and tantalises as it evolves. Sweeping pads captivate 
and an unforgettable build releases the show stopping riff, with 
flashes of harmonies and drums combining to delight the aural 
senses. 

Two fantastic remixes here that are firmly aimed at the dance 
floor and should not be missed.
