                          ............................

             We welcome Dutch production and DJ outfit, Orquesm, back to 
             Bonzai Progressive with the superb Halucogyn Spice. It's been a 
             while since we saw them here, their last effort  Casus, was very 
             well received indeed and no doubt this latest cut will follow 
             suit. The duo, Jeffrey Bakker and Michael Ulrich started out in 
             the early nineties, playing at places like the legendary 
             Waakzaamheid club and Renaissance nights in The Netherlands. 
             They have also played with many well-known DJs in loads of clubs 
             all over Europe, so it's no surprise that these strong roots 
             have given them the ability to make and play such great music.

             The Original Mix kicks off the release, steering us into a 
             deep-rooted groove right from the off. Chunky beats and rolling 
             basses stack up as sporadic FX and flurries of exotic 
             percussions create a rhythmic flow. An arpeggiated mid-bas 
             section adds drive before consonant patterns flare up, adding a 
             more sinister twist. Manu Riga continues a fine run of remixes 
             with another delicious offering which traverses the lines 
             between genres. On the remix here, Manu opts to get things 
             moving with a powerful, punchy kick drum and rumbling bass 
             combi. Delicate melodic phrases weave through the groove as 
             stuttering, crispy hats and sharp claps lead a cacophony of 
             percussions. The break reveals a wonderful display of melodic 
             techno vibes before the beats return for the duration, a solid 
             slice that will not disappoint. Cortex Thrill return to BP on 
             remix duties after the conclusion of their epic trilogy, Cosmic 
             Voyage. Here, the guys round out the release on a tougher edged 
             groove with strong, gritty basses and brain twisting 303 lines. 
             The track oozes rhythmic flavour, with a powerful 808 drum 
             leading the way followed by sharp hats and snappy claps. Amidst 
             the harshness, softer melodies break through, offering stark 
             contrasts that will translate well on the floors.
