Our very own Ritz returns to Piston Recordings with the 
fantastic three track EP title, Undefeated. A long-time stalwart 
for us over many years, Ritz continues to wow us with his 
signature style, keeping the deep house vibes alive and fresh. 
His last effort here was his Do Somethin' EP, which gained a 
great deal of support across the board. As always, it's a 
pleasure to have him here and we look forward to more in the 
future.

Undefeated is up first and right from the off we get locked into 
the sound thanks to a vibrant display of shuffling percussions 
and nice chunky beat. Cool, deep house chords add a nice groove 
alongside short vocal hits. The main hook throws up some snazzy 
strings, creating a rich dynamic in the sound. Next, we have To 
Prawnie, which heads straight to the dancefloor with a classic 
punchy kick and spritely hit hat pattern. A warm analogue 
bassline sets the groove on fire as snappy snares and cool FX 
set the rhythms loose. Bright, playful melodies offer 
contrasting sounds that blend effortlessly with the groove. 
Concluding the release, we have the Malfunction which delivers 
an extra level of funk into the EP with a sublime bassline and 
cascading melodies. An upfront drum section is filled with 
strong kicks, rhythmic hats and rolling snares which lay the 
foundation for the extra groovy chords to work their magic. A 
solid EP that is not to be missed.
