    Shield and Robytek poured their hearts into creating 
    Shuka, their latest single feat. a collaboration with
    Emmanuel Jal. The inception of this track traces back
    to 2021 when the duo began working on guitar parts
    composed by the Congolese artist Samba Mapangala.
    Although the track was momentarily set aside, it came
    back to life towards the end of 2022 when Emmanuel Jal
    instantly fell head over heels for it. A few days
    later, Shuka was born! Alex Malheiros of the renowned
    Brazilian band Azymuth also contributed bass and
    additional guitar parts. Shuka translates to get down
    conveying a message of encouragement to approach life
    with determination, pushing yourself to reach your
    deserved place, and then celebrating with old and
    young, relatives and friends by getting down. Emmanuel
    Jal is a South Sudanese rapper, singer, actor,
    activist, and public speaker whose work has transformed
    the lives of millions in his native homeland.
    Throughout his career, he has garnered worldwide
    acclaim for his unique blend of Hip Hop and Afro pop,
    spreading messages of reconciliation and peace. He has
    been nominated for 2 Juno Awards as best album in the
    Best World Music category and has released six
    award-nominated studio albums. Jals music has made
    significant strides in the Afrotech sphere, with
    numerous single releases, including Kuar (FNX Omar &
    Henrik Schwarz), Hey Mama (Da Capo), Guaja (Levy), and
    recently Gorah (Nitefreak). Circulating on a few
    limited advanced promos Shuka received a big support
    trough the summer from names like Pete Tong, Damian
    Lazarus, DJ Koze, Amm, Hunee, Danny Krivit and many
    others. The remixes are scheduled for a release on
    November 29th. Acid Pauli creates a stripped down
    version with his unique touch, building tension and
    atmosphere through synth textures and shimmering
    sequencers. The French duo Meloko and Konvex create a
    catchy dancefloor anthem with a great combination of
    dancefloor house grooves and melodic elements. JKriv,
    the Brooklyn-based producer, and co-founder of
    Razor-N-Tape, brings his deep and diverse taste to the
    song, giving us a slice of Afrofunk with a NYC house
    music feel.
