Review: 13 months on from signalling their arrival via a strong multi-artist sampler, DJ agency-turned-label Bondru returns with a second volume of UK bass-inspired club cuts from artists on the roster. There's a richly percussive, pleasingly sub-heavy start courtesy of Julien Fuentes and Borren's tribal-tinged 'Bongolo' before Azad adds deep house tropes to a 4/4 UK garage blueprint on 'Dusty Cough' and Borren peppers a stupidly deep sub-bassline and bumpin' beats with ghostly lead lines on 'Keep It Up'. Elsewhere, Daniele Temperilli re-imagines bleep & bass for the 21st century on 'Focus', Julien Fuentes gets deep and dubby on 'Ghetto Youth', and William Caycedo aims for peak-time dominance via the slamming (and predictably sub-heavy) 'Dirty Wu'.
