         Tartan Records founder Jimmy Wallace has delivered a string of        
        inspired releases over the last two years, including a clutch of       
        killer EPs on Rhythm Section International and the superb 'Red,        
       Yellow, Black' album on Mule Musiq. Here he makes his OnLoop label      
      debut with a trio of 124 BPM deep house workouts. Leading the charge     
      is 'Tanzanite', a deliciously percussive and rhythmically infectious     
     affair peppered with mind-mangling sub-bass drops, pots and pans drum     
       hits and heady marimba motifs. It's the kind of track that sounds       
     particularly good in the mix and has a humid, festival-ready flavour.     
        He continues the tropical house vibe on the similarly shoulder-        
     swinging 'M'bira', before plumping for a more low-slung, mind-mangling    
       and bassline-driven flex of the decidedly druggy closing cut 'Red       
                             Velvet'. Don't sleep!
